FIAV [Ratio 2:3]
The flag of FIAV was first flown at the 2nd International Congress of Vexillology in 1967. The symbol in the centre is made of two halyards or ropes in a knot.

The officer's flags of FIAV were designed by the late Dr William Crampton, Director of the Flag Institute. They were officially adopted at the 18th International Congress of Vexillology in Victoria, BC, Canada in August 1999.

XIX International Congress of Vexillology [Ratio 3:5]
The 19th ICV will be held in York, England in July 2001. The flag incorporates the Roman numerals XIX for 19 and the design reflects the fact that 2001 will be the 200th anniversary of the current Union Flag.




XVIII International Congress of Vexillology [Ratio 2:3]
The 18th ICV was held in Victoria, BC, Canada in August 1999. The flag incorprates elements from the flags of the Canadian and American flag organizations who co-hosted the Congress. The wavy lines reflect Victoria's connections with the sea (the Pacific fleet of the Canadian Navy is based there).
